Your discovery feed
Your optional interest choices, recent likes and comments, and accounts you follow help rank a mix of nationwide posts, recent activity, and randomized discoveries. Founder posts rotate into this mix. Chosen interests are private and can be changed or cleared in the feed. Recommendations do not use private messages or browsing outside TradesTrust. Nearby discovery uses your selected public city or ZIP-area center and radius; it does not track precise device location.
Basic traffic measurement
We count daily page views in broad categories to understand site usage. These totals do not include emails, contact details, full profile URLs, referrers, search terms, persistent visitor IDs, or individual browsing histories. Repeat views and some automated traffic may be included. Aggregates are retained for 90 days. Browser Do Not Track is honored. Short-lived hashed network counters help limit abuse of this measurement endpoint.
Information we collect
We receive authenticated account IDs, email addresses, and optional display names from ChatGPT or a configured authentication provider. We store profile details, private business contacts, uploaded photos, service request details, optional customer phone numbers and sharing choices, customer community profiles and pictures, protected job photos, customer job posts, shared job questions and answers, social posts and photos, social comments and reactions, feed blocks, private messages, conversation blocks, reviews, account status, terms acceptance, reports, and moderation records. Do not submit government IDs, Social Security numbers, payment-card data, or sensitive personal information.
What is public
Listing names, trade, general service city/state/ZIP, descriptions, pricing summaries, published photos, and published reviews are public. Private business phone numbers and emails are not included in the public directory. Customer social profiles are visible to signed-in members. The owner can create a public founder profile with a Nationwide location; its name, picture, and introduction are public only after the owner agrees. New social posts can be public or members-only. Public posts, names, profile pictures, photos, and comments can be viewed by anyone. Existing posts remain members-only. Blocks limit interactions within signed-in accounts; public content can still be seen when signed out. Feed posts are a separate sharing choice from protected customer jobs. Job details and photos are available to active signed-in members who are not blocked by the poster. Job posts appearing in a feed retain these restrictions. Do not put contact information in public text or photos. Once published, text and images may be copied by others, and TradesTrust cannot retrieve copies already downloaded.
Who can see private information
A provider can see request details submitted for their business immediately, and customer contact information after acceptance. A customer can see provider contact information only while their accepted request has sharing enabled and both accounts/listings are eligible. Jobs and shared discussions are available to active signed-in members without prior owner approval. Phone numbers remain private unless the poster opts to share them with active pros. Private job conversations are available only to their customer and participating pro, with the owner able to review them for moderation or support. Optional job phone sharing follows the customer’s choices. Closed, hidden, or blocked jobs and ineligible accounts/listings lose contact access. The site owner can access private information when needed for moderation, support, and administering the service. Blocking or revoking contact sharing prevents future access through TradesTrust; it cannot erase information already copied.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, display listings, community profiles, social feeds, comments, reactions, and reviews, route job requests, enforce permissions, prevent abuse, maintain moderation records, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell provider contact details or offer them to lead-generation companies. Optional donations occur on external payment services and do not buy placement or leads.
Hosting and authentication services
The service uses ChatGPT Sites hosting and its provisioned database and object storage, along with Supabase for configured authentication features. Authentication and hosting providers process information needed to run the service under their own policies. External donation links lead to Cash App or Venmo. TradesTrust does not receive payment-card details through this app.
Cookies and safeguards
Authentication cookies support account sessions. Server permissions restrict private contact details and moderation functions. We use access controls, account limits, private staging for images, and moderation checks, but cannot promise perfect security or prevent every abuse. Only upload the information needed for the service.
Retention, removal, and your choices
You can edit your profile, remove photos from your listing, withdraw requests, revoke shared contacts, and request help through Support & appeals. The account deletion tool removes your listing, reviews, requests, customer job posts and photos, customer community profiles, social posts, social comments and reactions, and your authored job messages and comments and closes access. Removing a listing or job also removes its related conversations. Safety reports and moderation logs may retain information previously reported. Minimal account identifiers may be retained to prevent abuse. Reports, moderation logs, hosting backups, and other records may be retained as reasonably needed for security, disputes, legal obligations, or platform operations. Hidden or unreferenced uploads are not publicly served. Contact the owner for additional data access or deletion requests and applicable state privacy rights.
Age eligibility and changes
Registration and service requests are limited to adults 18+. We do not offer a teen pathway yet. Contact Support & appeals if a child’s information has been submitted. We will update this policy when our practices change; material changes will be communicated through the site where appropriate.
